Josephine Mankowski-Szcerba, age 73, of 413 Halley Street, died Thursday, June 28th at Hamot Hospital. She was born in Erie, a daughter of the late Joseph Mankowski and Rose Konkol Mankowski Paluh. Mrs. Szczerba was an active member of Mt. Calvary Catholic Church. Her husband, Paul Szczerba, died in 1981. A son, Leonard E. Mankosky, died previously. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Ross of Naples, FL; a son Daniel M. Szczerba of Carmel, IN; and three sisters, Irene Abahaze of Erie, Mrs. Raymond (Mary Ann) Ropelewski of Thousand Oaks, CA, and Mrs. Joseph (Eleanor) Mayerhoffer of Cerritos, CA.
